About you:

As the implementation and support developer you will be responsible for configuring, customising and supporting our web based products (including the award winning tessello) for our clients.

Using your backend and frontend development skills you will work with a variety of technologies such as using your JavaScript and CSS skills to develop custom interactions or your SQL skills to perform detailed queries and maintenance of our product databases.

Using your diagnosis, communication and expert product knowledge skills you will investigate resolve client support issues and take your turn covering the front line support desk.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Ensure product instances and integrations are configured and customised to a high standard and in line with client expectations.
  • Ensure technical support issues that are assigned to you are resolved efficiently and accurately within the designated SLA, escalating where appropriate.
  • Ensure that all programming and technical elements follow and adhere to the project's technical specification and Brightwave's technical standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure that the product knowledge base is up to date and high quality.

Key activities and tasks:

  • Configure, deploy and maintain instances of Brightwave products including tessello, Launch & Track, BILD and Evaluation Centre. Developing customised look and feel, business logic, functionality and visuals for bespoke product implementations. This will include working closely with Customer Success Manager to ensure the functionality of the instance setups is in line with end user and client business requirements.
  • Analyse, design and document requested client enhancements to deployed products.
  • Develop skills to integrate product instances with client systems, such as configuring single sign on, setting up CSV data feeds or creating SFTP sites (this will be supported by other developers). This will include working closely with the client to define the technical requirements that will provide the most effective system for their needs.
  • Resolve technical support cases for all products, interacting with clients where required.
  • Perform first line product support answering emails, telephone calls and Zen Desk requests from our clients.
  •  When required perform product database administration.
  • Create and maintain product technical knowledge base wiki documents.
  • Proactively work to improve technical support procedures and efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain new features within the products to provide an extensible offering to clients. The technical skills required for the features would be appropriate for your level and would increase in complexity as you develop.

Skills / Experience:

  • Excellent face to face and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analysis and diagnosis skills, able to think on the go and empathise with clients to discover the root cause of issues and requirements.
  • Ability to learn complex and dynamic products, mastering both functional and technical details.
  • Established technical skills (Junior to intermediate):

           - C# .net (other server side languages will be considered)

        - T-SQL (MS SQL or My SQL)

        - JavaScript and jQuery

        - HTML

        - CSS

        - Some knowledge of Windows server, IIS and networking

  • Experience as a junior developer or technical support consultant in a SaaS or bespoke development environment.
